Kacey Musgraves may have cleaned up at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday evening (Feb. 10), but the Recording Academy made one little mistake at the top of the ceremony, and it definitely didn't get by country fans.

When she was introduced as one of the event's performers early in the evening, Musgraves' name was incorrectly spelled as "Kasey Musgraves" -- instead of "Kacey Musgraves" -- on the telecast.

While it may seem like a minor error, Musgraves' fans watching the broadcast noticed right away, and immediately began retaliating over social media to express their anger about the misspelling.

"The Grammys just spelled KACEY Musgraves' name wrong. I'm livid," tweeted one angry fan. "Did they really spell Kacey Musgraves' name wrong in the INTRODUCTION? That is EDITED???" asked another incredulous award show viewer.

Despite the misspelling drama early in the ceremony, things continued to look up for Musgraves as the evening progressed, which included an ethereal performance of her song, "Rainbow," an epic contribution from the singer to the all-star tribute to Dolly Parton,  and wins in the categories of Best Country Song (for "Space Cowboy,") Best Country Solo Performance (for "Butterflies") and Best Country Album of the Year for her 2018 project, Golden Hour.

When her name come up on the screen to announce her win for Best Country Album of the Year, "Kacey Musgraves" was spelled correctly, luckily for everyone involved. At that time, the singer still had the potential to win in one more category -- Album of the Year -- at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
