Jason Aldean has begun work on his eighth studio album. On Monday (March 13), the country star shared a black-and-white video from the recording studio.

"Got some pretty cool stuff we're kicking off here with," Aldean says in the video, which readers can watch above. He's in the recording studio's control room, and he adds, "Can't wait for you guys to hear it!"

In his tweet sharing the video, Aldean says that his next record is "comin' at ya soon." Aldean released his last album, They Don't Know, in September of 2016, just six months ago.

A No. 1 album, Aldean's They Don't Know has spawned two No. 1 singles so far: "Lights Come On" and "A Little More Summertime." Aldean's current single from the disc, "Any Ol' Barstool," is in the Top 10 now.

Aldean spent the summer of 2016, prior to releasing They Don't Know, on the road, for his 2016 Six String Circus Tour. Come April, the artist will begin his 2017 They Don't Know Tour; he is set to headline Country Jam 2017 and the 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival in June.
