Country star Jake Owen revealed earlier in November that he and his girlfriend, Erica Hartlein, are expecting a baby together. Now, fans will have even more to be excited about: The singer has announced that the new addition to their family will be a girl!

"We just found out it's a girl. I kinda threw that out there. People had been wondering," Owen shared at a recent event (quote via ET). "We found out it's a girl. I'm good at making girls."

The "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" singer is already the proud father to one daughter, Pearl, who was born on Thanksgiving of 2012. Pearl is Owen's daughter with his ex-wife, Lacey Buchanan; the couple divorced in 2015.

Owen also shares that he will be joining Hartlein in giving up drinking alcohol during her pregnancy. "[Not drinking] sounded like a good idea at the time. I was like, 'This is going to be great! Both of us will go without drinking for nine months. I will be completely clear-minded for when this baby gets here," he adds.

In music-related news, the singer's latest single, "Down to the Honkytonk," is currently climbing the charts. It is Owen's first single under his new contract with Big Loud Records, where he signed at the end of 2017 after leaving RCA Records. He also serves as a judge on Real Countrya new televised singing competition in which he shares judging duties with Shania Twain and Travis Tritt, along with surprise guests.
