Three Men Injured When Freightliner Overturns
Three people were injured in a crash involving an 18-wheeler that overturned Monday morning in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2009 Freightliner, driven by 39-year-old Timothy R. Hurr of Sedalia, was at Highway 23 and Route E around 7:20 a.m., when the truck traveled off the east side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the Freightliner began skidding and overturned.
The truck came to rest on the driver's side, facing northeast, blocking both lanes of traffic.
Hurr and his two passengers, 40-year-old David S. Miller of Knob Noster, and 20-year-old Gage M. Bowers of Leeton, suffered minor injuries. All three were treated on scene and refused any further treatment, according to the report. None were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
Johnson County Fire and EMS assisted the Troopers on scene.
