Sedalia Police Reports for July 9th, 2024

Saturday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 16th Street and South Vermont Avenue to assist with a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be at or above 0.08. Robert Leroy Little, 87, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs, Persistent Offender). Little was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.
Monday night, Officers were dispatched to the Sedalia Police Department to take a stolen vehicle report. Maria Bell, the owner of the vehicle, called to report her vehicle stolen. Bell is currently out of state. The vehicle had been previously recovered and towed by Don's Towing. A request for the charge of Tampering With a Motor Vehicle has been submitted to the prosecutor.
Sedalia Police took a report over the phone in regard to a violation of an order of protection Monday evening. Officers later tried to make contact with the subject, but no contact was made. State charges are being submitted.
Monday afternoon, Officers spoke with a subject in the lobby of the Police Department, and it was discovered he had an out of state warrant*. The warrant was confirmed active, and the suspect was placed into custody. Brian Otto Kruse, 41, of Chilhowee, was arrested on a charge of Fugitive From Justice.
Monday evening, Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room, 601 East 14th Street. Officers spoke with Frank A. Muntz about a dog bite that had occurred in the 900 block of West 3rd Street. Officers gathered information, and a report has been generated.
Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Dollar Tree, 3107 West Broadway Boulevard regarding an incident of harassment. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the reporting party, and gathered information for a report.
*The report did not specify from where the out of state warrant was issued. However, Casenet 20PT-CR00565 states a Pettis County warrant was issued for Kruse in April of 2020 on a charge of felony Stealing (Animals). An arraignment was scheduled for July 9th, of 2024. Original bond on the charge was set at $1,000 cash only.
