Bothwell Regional Health Center will host a retirement reception for long-time physician Dr. William Woolery from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 19 in the Bothwell Café on the hospital’s ground floor. Patients and the public are invited to attend.

Woolery, an internal medicine physician and pulmonary specialist, joined the Bothwell medical staff in 1982. He will retire from Bothwell Internal Medicine Specialists on Dec. 31 after having cared for people in the area for over 40 years.

Marvin Smoot, Bothwell’s Clinic Operations vice president, said Woolery is a beloved physician.

“In his four decades of medical practice, Dr. Woolery has left a lasting impression on his patients and staff, knowing them personally and treating them with kindness and compassion,” he said. “He raised his family here and has served in numerous leadership positions in Sedalia and is dedicated to community growth. We’re pleased to honor him as he embarks on a well-deserved retirement."
