A two-hour “Cruise-In” was held last Saturday morning at W-K dealership, 2901 South Limit.

The car show was a fund-raiser for Shop With A Hero (formerly Shop With A Cop), which includes all local first responders and is held in December and helps over 300 area children receive Christmas gifts.

KSIS spoke with event organizer Larry Klein at the event.

He said the event originated 18 years ago at Williams-Woody Nissan and W-K “adopted” it about four years ago.

Money is generated through car show entry fees ($20 per vehicle) and a 50/50 event that was held in the lobby.

W-K supplied a pastry breakfast for all attendees.

Klein expressed how much the event has grown over 18 years, noting that the inaugural event drew 20-25 kids.

“Every year it’s gotten better and better,” he said.
