Here’s What You Need To Know About Roadwork On Business 13

If you regularly travel on Business 13 in Johnson County between Warrensburg and Higginsville, get ready for roadwork between the Business 13 roundabouts just outside Warrensburg.

Johnson County says it will set up temporary flagging operations and temporary lane closures on the county-maintained portions of Business 13 Highway the week of July 22. Temporary lane closures could continue through Friday, July 26.  These closures will occur outside the Warrensburg city limits between the two roundabouts.

Temporary lane closures and flagging operations are necessary while the Johnson County Commission has core samples taken of the roadway in multiple locations in preparation for bid documents for the resurfacing of Business 13 Highway. The resurfacing of the county-maintained portions of Business 13 is targeted for completion next summer.
