Juveniles Detained In Columbia After Shots Fired Investigation
Saturday evening, just before 7:00 PM CDT, Columbia Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 2600 block of Trimble Road. Late Sunday afternoon, Columbia Police detained two juveniles concerning this case.
At 6:55 PM CDT on Saturday, July 6, 2024, Columbia Police responded to a report of shots fired on Trimble Road. Upon their arrival, officers spoke with witnesses who stated shots had been fired. No injuries or property damage was reported with the incident.
On Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2024, Columbia Police detained two juveniles in connection with the case. One was detained for first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal action. The second juvenile was detained for juvenile delinquency and tampering with physical evidence, a felony.
Both juveniles have been referred to the Boone County Juvenile Office.
