Serious Illness in Missouri Connected to Urgent Snack Cone Recall
If you enjoy having cones around for snacks, you're not alone. You also need to know that serious illnesses are being reported in Missouri connected to an urgent snack cone recall just issued by the Food and Drug Administration.
The FDA just shared this urgent bulletin about snacks that have an ingredient that has already caused problems in many states including serious illness in Missouri. The recalled products in question are Diamond Shruumz Infused Cones, Chocolate Bars, and Gummies. They contained an ingredient found in mushrooms called Muscimol.
The FDA bulletin says 39 illnesses have been reported in several states including Missouri and some have been severe reactions. Food Safety News says that two dozen have been hospitalized which gives you an idea how serious this situation is.
