A recent ranking puts Missouri at the end of the list when it comes to safety in schools, are your kids safe when they go to school in the Show-Me State? Here are the details...

When I went to look at why Missouri was ranked so low, I was shocked to see the WalletHub experts determined Missouri has the lowest School Safety ranking with Mississippi.

How did WalletHub determine their Safety score? The Safety ranking is comprised of things like "Share of Threatened/Injured High School Students", "Share of High School Students with Access to Illegal Drugs", "Share of High School Students Participating in Violence", "Bullying Incidence Rate", and more. In fact, according to this report from US News, Missouri which ranks 20 spots behind Illinois in School Safety, had 45 fewer people killed or wounded in school shootings compared to Illinois over the last 5 years. So, did they get it right? I don't know...
