Wisconsin Lake Named Best for Tourists Called ‘Almost Heaven’
It's no small amount of praise when a lake in Wisconsin is called the best for anything considering how many splendid water areas there are in the state. One was just named the best lake for tourists and it's been described as 'almost heaven' in Wisconsin and it's hard to disagree.
A website that specializes in tourist destinations called Cheapism just ranked the best lake for tourists in each state. Their choice for Wisconsin is a spectacular place.
It's Lake Minocqua which is a 1339 acre lake in Oneida County. A few years ago, Wesley Huggett created a short video about the area called 'Almost Heaven' he's not wrong.
Cheapism says that Lake Minocqua is the best place for tourists "whether you like to fish, swim, kayak, or boat, there's something for everyone on this gorgeous body of water". I've also seen many praise the crystal clear water there although it's curious that the state of Wisconsin's latest update says it's only "moderately clear". Perhaps the state is just being modest. They also say when it comes to fishing, you'll find these species just waiting to be caught:
- Musky
- Panfish
- Largemouth Bass
- Walleye
- Smallmouth Bass
- Northern Pike
There are 4 boat landings in the Lake Minocqua area if you are looking to fully explore the water.
Saying any Wisconsin lake is the best for anything will almost always lead to debate, but this choice really is a great one for tourists and Wisconsin natives, too.
