Every Time The Simpsons Hilariously Mocked Missouri
Many love The Simpsons while others completely don't understand the popularity of the series. I've always found the show to be an acquired taste which I'm rarely in the mood for. However, even I have to admit that there are multiple times The Simpsons have mocked Missouri and some of them are absolutely hilarious.
The Simpsons Wikipedia says the show has roasted Missouri at least a dozen times
- Episode – "Principal Charming"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Homer Batman"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Mother Simpson"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Bart on the Road"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Lisa Gets an "A"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Kill the Alligator and Run"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Simpsons Tall Tales"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Margical History Tour"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "Homer the Father"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "101 Mitigations"
- The Saga of Carl - Episode – "The Road to Cincinnati"
Here are some Missouri highlights from The Simpsons. The one I see shared the most is when Grandpa Simpson unfurls a flag with only 49 stars on it and says...
Branson, Missouri is a frequent target of The Simpsons like Grandpa and Barts visit to the city where the celebrity appearances were ridiculed.
Bart and his friends end up at an Andy Williams show in Branson with a very honest marquee.
Many have speculated over the years if the Springfield in The Simpsons might be the same Springfield that's in Missouri. The similarities are there if you look hard enough.
