Six Flags St. Louis has been a part of my entire life and if you grew up in Missouri like I did, it's likely been a part of yours, too. It looks like there are big changes ahead for this treasured amusement park which may include a name change according to a new report.

How many times have you seen this entrance in your lifetime?

The first time I went to Six Flags St. Louis it didn't have Bugs Bunny on the sign and it wasn't called Six Flags St. Louis. Back in those days, it was Six Flags Over Mid-America. According to a brand new report that was just shared today by People Magazine, big changes are coming to many Six Flags locations including St. Louis. They reviewed filings with the feds that show trademark applications have been submitted including "Enchanted Parks St. Louis".

According to People, when they reached out to lawyers and representatives of Six Flags, they either didn't answer the question about a name change or just didn't answer any questions at all. The hint by the response they shared infers that changes are coming. We'll have to see if that includes a name change or possibly even a sale as reported by KSDK in St. Louis.

I have reached the point in my life where I'm not a big fan of change and that's especially true of people and places that have been a big part of my life. I have so many nostalgic memories of Six Flags including annual trips I made with my older kids and I hate to see the location of those memories change. I realize that business is business and Six Flags has to do what's best for its business. Forgive me if I remember it as it was and not for what it might become.
