Triple Trouble – Missouri Could Get Hit by 3 Snowstorms in a Week

Computer weather models show something a bit alarming for Missouri. It's almost certain that Missouri will see three separate snow events all in the span of just one week. The only question right now is how much it will all amount to.

Due to the fact that my wife is a meteorologist, I see a lot of computer weather models and I've learned to disregard any models that are more than one week away as there are too many variables that will likely change making those models unreliable. However, what I'm about to share has been appearing on almost all the runs this week and there is growing agreement that Missouri will see up to 3 storm systems in the next 7 to 10 days.

I saw Travis Roberts on his Weather With Travis YouTube channel show what I'm seeing also on the GFS model for the week of February 11, 2025. Here's the first storm system that shows Missouri getting hammered with a snow event on Tuesday, February 12.

Once that system is through, we get one day of rest before another system makes its way across Missouri. This is what Thursday, February 13, 2025 looks like.

But wait, there's more. The computer models are showing a THIRD storm system crossing Missouri on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

By the way, the European model seems to agree with the GFS on what could happen next week with Missouri seeing up to 3 snow events.

Now, a word of caution. If I were the National Weather Service (and I certainly am NOT), I'd say there's still low confidence on the amounts of snow that each system will bring. It could be a dusting or several inches from each. I'd say the best chance for significant snow as of right now is Tuesday, February 12, 2025. Time will tell, but pay close attention to the National Weather Service forecasts once we get into the weekend as they'll be able to tell you if these storm systems will materialize or not.
