Richest Man in Illinois Now 23 Times Wealthier than Taylor Swift

It's hard to imagine the financial realities of the richest people in the world. Their net worth is beyond what most of us can understand. Here's a simpler way to put it. The richest man in Illinois alone is now more than 23 times wealthier than Taylor Swift.

The newly-updated Forbes Billionaires list shows that both the richest person/guy/king in Illinois and Taylor Swift are getting wealthier by the minute. Taylor Swift concluded her record-setting Eras tour last year and the richest Illinois guy saw his net worth increase by almost $10 billion dollars. (Yes, billion with a capital B)

According to the new Forbes list, Taylor Swift's net worth increased from $1.1 billion dollars in 2024 to $1.6 billion now. Impressive. But, her wealth cannot match the richest man in Illinois which is Lukas Walton. Lukas lives in Chicago and his current net worth is $37.7 billion dollars up from a mere $28 billion dollars in 2024.

According to my calculator, that means Lukas Walton is 23.5625 wealthier than even Taylor Swift. This just in. Neither will have any problems with inflation in 2025.

Both are doing some admirable things with their miles-high hills of gold. Lukas Walton has given away $3 billion dollars in his philanthropic work. Billboard shows that Taylor Swift's list of donations is long, too. It's easier to be happy for people like this that have found international success when they use that wealth to do good around them.
