Oasis at Lake of the Ozarks has been an exciting concept since it was first announced a few years ago. Now, that concept is becoming reality as construction teams have started work on the first amusement park ride called "The Plunge" and there are pics to prove it.

Thanks to Oasis at Lake of the Ozarks for alerting me that their teams were hard at work to build the first amusement park ride before the busy summer travel season. This ride is called "The Plunge" and they say it will be as tall as the Natural Bridge at Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton towering 100 feet into the air. Here are a handful of pics they shared with me to share with you.

“The Plunge’s ride carriage seats 12 and slowly rotates, giving every rider a breathtaking lake view before the unexpected drop,” said Todd Schneider, Operating Partner. “The ride is also designed with various descent programs, allowing it to deliver thrills while remaining family friendly. The Plunge is one of 12 amusement rides planned for the Oasis Lake of the Ozarks entertainment destination. Additional amusement rides will continue to be installed throughout the summer, quickly reshaping the landscape into the new lakeside attraction.”

When will Oasis at Lake of the Ozarks open?

The press release said that the "amusement park, parking garage, and boat slips are scheduled to open in the first phase in Spring 2027. The indoor water park and Marriot Resort & Conference Center will soon follow."
