I predict this will turn into a dumpster fire of political comments, but that's certainly not the way I intend it. It's a true story about how many in Missouri are concerned about a secure border - not from Mexico, but Kansas.

It's not often that a political statement on the Missouri sub-Reddit makes me laugh, but this one really did. See this for yourself so I'm not sharing it out of context.

Secure the border! Which border? Kansas?

To be clear, I am not a political person. No one comes to me for wisdom on how to feel about an issue or how to vote. I am the court jester in life. I know my place and normally stay in my lane, but this issue made me laugh. When someone in Missouri says they're concerned about "the border", two places come to mind - Kansas and Arkansas. I don't mean to offend my friends in either state, but growing up in Missouri led to a general life-long rivalry with both states.

Have you ever been to a Missouri/Kansas basketball game? If so, you understand exactly what I mean. I have traveled through Kansas and Arkansas several times in my life and the amount of trepidation I felt crossing those borders was real. Nothing personal intended Jayhawks and Razorbacks, but I wouldn't blame you if you felt the same way.

Next time you hear a politician talking about securing the border, see if this makes you laugh just a little bit. Yes, it's a serious issue for America, but I prefer to focus on the humorous outlook.
