The Visit Missouri site says this is a recreation of the 1926 gas station opened by Fred and his wife Gay Mason in 1926. Gary and Lena Turner rebuilt it after it burned down in a fire in 1955 and the word is that their daughter still maintains this vintage slice of Route 66 about 25 miles west of Springfield, Missouri.
