There are many in Missouri who claim they've had paranormal experiences based on anecdotal stories, but what does science say? There's new data that proves with numbers where the most haunted place in Missouri is.

There's an interesting breakdown of the most haunted places in America by Nomad eSim. No offense to the other states in our beloved country, but I only really care about Missouri and their findings about the Show Me State are fun. They say that overall Missouri is the 13th most haunted state in America with 326 haunted locations, 13 ghost tours and monthly paranormal experiences of 680 for every 100,000 residents.

What did they learn about the most haunted city in Missouri?

Data shows that Kansas City is tied with St. Louis for the most haunted place in the state. Kansas City has 20 reported haunted locations, 4 ghost tours and 340 monthly paranormal-related searches. St. Louis has 24 reported haunted locations, but the fear factor is apparently higher in KC than St. Louis.

The locations that gave Kansas City a high spook factor include Muehlebach Hotel, University of Missouri–Kansas City, Epperson House and Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. For St. Louis, just two words: Lemp Mansion.

How did they come up with these most haunted Missouri places?

The methodology grabbed data from Shadowlands Haunted Places Index, Tripadvisor and Ahrefs. Search terms covered haunted places, ghost tours and haunted hotels.

If I may, I'd like to add a word of serious caution. I've had first-hand experiences with dark forces like the ones described in these Missouri locations and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
