Missouri Warning: Some Meat Loaf Could Make You Really Sick
There is a recall of meat loaf that is widely-available in Missouri due to an issue that could make you really sick or even be life-threatening under rare circumstances based on a statement issued by the provider.
Of all the things in life you expect to be dangerous, meat loaf normally isn't one of them. For now, that should be considered the case as there is a meat loaf that is very popular in Missouri that is now under an urgent recall. A statement provided by Costco says that Missouri stores are among their list that had a meat loaf kit that is potentially contaminated with Salmonella. They said that it's called "Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze" that was purchased between March 2, 2026 and March 13, 2026.
What should you look for to determine if you have the contaminated meat loaf in Missouri?
Costco says that labels include "Sell By Dates between 03/05/2026 and 03/16/2026". If you find that you have this meat loaf meal with those sell by dates, you should discard them or return them to Costco for a full refund.
What's so dangerous about Salmonella?
As Costco says, Salmonella is "an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems". The Mayo Clinic says that Salmonella is rarely life-threatening, but can bring on serious illness for those groups who are most susceptible. That's just what we need in 2026. Meat loaf that can take you down.
