As I was researching the possibility of creating a new food truck festival in Missouri, I learned something both tragic and encouraging. The food truck that is frequently voted as the best one in Missouri was in a terrible accident, but there's a silver lining to this stormy cloud.

This is what's left of Truck Norris as documented by KSDK News in St. Louis just a few weeks ago. I had just spotted the newest update by Cheapism of their best food trucks in each state included Truck Norris as Missouri's best - again. What I didn't know is that the owner and one of his employees were in a terrible accident a couple months ago not that far from I-70. While the food truck itself was totaled, neither of the men were seriously injured in the crash from someone who ran a red light, other than some bumps and bruises.

What's the silver lining for Truck Norris?

It was last year that Truck Norris expanded from being just a food truck to also including a brick and mortar restaurant in Ellisville, Missouri. The KSDK report says that customers have been filling the restaurant even more lately to help them recreate the food truck that many have loved for years. It's located at 15856 Clayton Road in Ellisville. I haven't seen any updates on social media about when/if Truck Norris will be back in action, but I did find a very recent Instagram video that shows the owner and staff have not lost their sense of humor.
