I will confess that I've gone back and forth about whether Jesse James was a hero or a villain. On one hand, it's hard to excuse the lives he took, but I've also learned more about the era he lived in and why he did many of the things he did. No matter if you consider him a hero, killer, outlaw or villain, there's no mistaking that he is a legend - albeit a complicated one.
