There aren't many if any malls that are thriving in Missouri anymore, but there are several that remain open and a recent walkthrough of one of them shows there's still some life if only barely.

Independence Center in the Kansas City, Missouri area opened in 1974 and was a bustling shopping hub for many for decades. It appears the best days are far in the past as a recent walkthrough by NotTheAverageGamerz on YouTube revealed.

You know the end is approaching for a mall when the anchor stores start closing. Sears closed years ago and Macy's recently. While there are still many active stores in the Independence Center, you also see huge blocks of closed and/or vacant store fronts. We'll likely never see an era like the one malls thrived in ever again thanks to online shopping. Still, it's a nostalgic walkthrough an era that's now barely hanging on in Missouri.
