You can never be too careful when you take to the road especially if you're traveling long distances. Truck drivers are warning of dangerous stops in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa that you want to avoid if at all possible due to safety concerns.

I saw this graphic shared on Reddit which originates from a security company that apparently works with trucking companies. It advises against specific places in many states that are considered a security risk.

I made the mistake of driving through East St. Louis, Illinois not that long ago and the experience was terrifying. I don't think I've feared having a vehicle breakdown more than traveling through that part of Illinois on the way toward St. Louis.

The conversation on Reddit includes some other locations that many say you should never stop at due to safety concerns. It's unfortunate that cross-country travel has to be so hazardous.
