I've heard Bigfoot described a lot of ways, but I had no idea that he was possibly a felon. There's proof that a "wild hairy man" really was captured and arrested in Missouri way back in 1891.

I saw this new video share by the Insomnia Society in a short on YouTube which includes a newspaper article that allegedly derives from Missouri in 1891. Watch.

This is the still image shared in the video so you can look at the details more clearly.

Let's do some fact-finding. Yes, there really is a Southwest City in Missouri. It's so far south in the state, it's practically Arkansas (which explains a lot). There also really was a St. Louis Republic newspaper and it's documented in the Library of Congress. Does that mean a Bigfoot really was arrested in Missouri in 1891? Not so fast...

First of all, have you seen some of the dudes who live in Arkansas? No offense intended, but a few have back hair that would rival Sasquatch. Is it possible that a "hairy man" got a little tipsy and started raging like a monkey? Oh, yes. I'm pretty sure I've seen a variation of this happen in my life in southern Missouri.

Let's also be clear that this could have been one of these mythical creatures. This article from September of 1891 is at least more proof that strange things can and do happen in southern Missouri.
