Where in Illinois is it Illegal to take photos?

There is only one place where you will be fined if you're ever caught taking photos and that is any railroad in Illinois. If you are caught violating the railroad law you could end up with the max fine of $500.

It is generally prohibited for anyone to walk, drive or ride along the right-of-way or rail yard of any railroad.

There are so many beautiful and perfect places to take a photo for any picture, and some photographers are extremely creative in coming up with ideas. If you're planning on a senior picture on a railroad track or just a selfie in general just make sure you know the law so you are not giving a hefty fine. No picture is worth a fine or worse an accident.
