There are amazing places to eat all across Missouri, but only one neighborhood has earned recognition as one of the best food destinations in the world.

Why River Market Is Famous for Food

The River Market in Kansas City is the kind of place where you’ll want to arrive hungry because there are so many incredible food options to choose from. Not only is it home to a popular farmers market filled with fresh food, plants, local art, and unique vendors, but it also offers a wide variety of international cuisine all in one area.

What You’ll Find at Kansas City’s River Market

Visitors can enjoy Italian, Greek, Chinese, Mexican, and many other flavors from around the world without ever leaving the neighborhood.

Best Foods to Try at River Market

According to LoveFood, the River Market was named the best neighborhood for food in Missouri and one of the top food districts in the country. Saturdays can get extremely busy, and parking is often difficult to find, but if you’re lucky enough to grab a spot, it’s absolutely worth the trip.

Whenever we visit, we try to eat light at each stop so we can sample desserts and dishes from several different restaurants. There are simply too many great options to settle on just one place. That variety is what makes the historic City Market such a special destination.
