Scotty McCreery Kicks Out a Fan for Hitting a Woman at His Show [Watch]
Scotty McCreery laid down the law during his show at the Colorado State Fair on Saturday night (Aug. 24).
During the very first song of the night — "It Matters to Her" — McCreery halted his show after he saw some unacceptable behavior in the crowd. He pointed toward one fan toward the front of the room who, he says, hit a woman beside him in the crowd.
"Hey, hey, hey, right here. That's a lady you just hit, sir," the singer said. "Absolutely not."
He flagged down security and asked for the concertgoer to be removed. "Is she okay? Get the heck outta here," McCreery continued, as other fans in the crowd booed their disapproval of the man's behavior.
McCreery is known for his wholesome, family-friendly music — a giant photo of his wife Gabi was on the screen behind him throughout this exchange, an ode to how she inspired "It Matters to Her" — and he commented that his show is an especially inappropriate place for any kind of violence.
"On God's green earth. At a Scotty McCreery show?!" he said. "What are you doing?"
TikTok video posted by a fan shows how the scuffle was handled, and though it's not clearly visible in the video, the person filming commented that the offender was on the receiving end of a little crowd vigilante justice. "Right about now is when the dude gets his a-- beat," the TikTok user wrote in one portion of the clip.

"Y'all let the cop know who hit the lady. That's absolutely unacceptable," McCreery continued, as fans chanted "Scotty! Scotty!" back to him. "Whoever you are, that's the definition of a coward, hitting a lady. Get the heck outta here, man."
Nashville NBC affiliate WSMV4 reports that Colorado State Fair representatives confirmed an alleged assault that took place at the show, and that security assisted with crowd control. They did not comment further as to whether any charges were brought forward in connection with the incident.
