Illinois Man Injured in Waverunner Accident

A Springfield, Illinois man was injured at Lake of the Ozarks Monday afternoon after he collided with a pontoon boat.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 36-year-old Larry J. Robinson of Springfield Illinois was operating 2005 Yamaha Waverunner, jumping wakes around 1:45 p.m. at the 26-mile marker of the Osage Arm, when he jumped a wake in front of a 25-foot 2002 Landau Pontoon and was ejected from the Waverunner, striking the boat, operated by 38-year-old Shane M. Adkins, also of Springfield, Illinois.

Robinson suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Mercy EMS to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
