Singer-songwriter, American Idol Winner, and University of Central Missouri alum David Cook will perform at the UCM President's Gala at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City on Monday March 30. This according to the Daily Star Journal.

Cook will be performing some of his chart hits, along with a finale collaboration with the UCM Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir and other music students.

The President's Gala was revived by University of Central Missouri President Roger Best as an event to showcase works by students and faculty and to raise funds for the School of Visual and Performing arts.

The President's Gala is free to attend but reservations are required. Additionally, the University of Central Missouri also is offering bus transportation between the campus in Warrensburg and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.
