High-speed Chase Ends With Arrest of Two Men
On Saturday, March 6, Pettis County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop at US 50, just west of Highway MM, on a vehicle displaying improper license plates.
The driver, who was later identified as Trenton Willis of La Monte, accelerated his vehicle to speeds of over 100 miles per hour and a chase ensued. With emergency equipment activated, Deputies were catching up with Willis, who continued west on US 50 at speeds of over 120 miles per hour.
Willis eventually stopped just east of Chevalier Road. Willis was then placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, careless & imprudent driving, speeding and resisting arrest.
There was a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Josiah Willis of Sedalia, who was also arrested, for possession of marijuana.
