According to the experts at WalletHub, Kansas City is the hardest-working city in Missouri and the 49th hardest-working city in the US in 2024. WalletHub created a list of the hardest-working cities in America, and only 2 Missouri cities made the List Kansas City at 49th and St. Louis at 76th. How did WalletHub come up with these rankings? On their site, they say...

"The average U.S. worker puts in 1,811 hours per year – 204 hours more than the average in Japan, 279 more than the U.K. and 470 more than Germany...Some U.S. cities represent the strong work ethic that helped to build the world’s biggest economy better than others. In order to determine which cities outwork the rest of America, WalletHub compared the 116 largest cities across 11 key metrics. Our data set ranges from the employment rate to average weekly work hours to the share of workers with multiple jobs."

Kansas City is considered a "harder working" city by WalletHub's standards than Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, Cleveland, and many others, to see the full list for yourself, click here!

No, but they tried to quantify the unquantifiable in my opinion...
