Fly Nonstop to Vegas from Kansas City For Under $100 Bucks!

There's a new airline offering nonstop service to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas starting today. As part of their new service, you can fly nonstop to Las Vegas for under $100 dollars.

Frontier Airlines has joined Southwest Airliners and Spirit Airlines in providing nonstop service between Kansas City and Las Vegas effective today, Tuesday, August 9. The service is part of the airline's expansion of service between Las Vegas and other cities it serves. Other cities getting the nonstop service include Baltimore, Buffalo, and Hartford.

Joe Rajchel, Harry Reid International Airport spokesperson quoted in the news release from Frontier Airlines says:

From the onset of domestic travel recovery, Las Vegas has been among the top destinations in the nation.

While KSHB reports that Kansas City Aviation Department Director Pat Klein told the television station that Las Vegas is one of the top travel destinations from Kansas City.

As part of their new service to Las Vegas, Frontier Airlines is offering an introductory $69 fare as a promotion. Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 PM EDT on August 15, and travel completed by November 2, and those who want to take advantage of the offer are required to join the airline's Discount Den program.

There are a few other catches to the deal, such as black-out dates, a very restrictive refund policy, limited availability, and the right of the airline to not offer the fair on certain flights or days of travel. Baggage and advance seat assignments are available for purchase. Finally, tickets must be purchased seven days in advance.

The bottom line, the more nonstop service between Kansas City and Las Vegas there is, the better it is for those of us who enjoy heading to Las Vegas. As for the deal for getting to Las Vegas for under $100. If your travel plans can fit their restrictions and you go in with your eyes open so you know the deal and don't get caught in a "gotcha" that costs more cash, it could be a very good deal.
