Five Celebrity Sightings at the University of Central Missouri
One of the cool things about going to college is the opportunity to see special guests. Colleges are always bringing in dignitaries and celebrities to address students on topics of importance, give inspirational messages, or to perform. Here are five notable celebrity appearances that have taken place in recent years at the University of Central Missouri.
President Barack Obama
In July 2013, President Barack Obama became the first sitting United States President to visit the campus of UCM.
Magic Johnson
Basketball superstar Magic Johnson was the featured speaker at UCM's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day dinner in 2010.
President Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, delivered the keynote address at the University of Central Missouri's commencement in 2011. The former president was also presented with an honorary doctorate.
Ernie Hudson
Who you gonna call? Ernie Hudson, famous for Ghostbusters, Oz, Blue Bloods, and many more film and TV roles, appeared at UCM's Stealth Con in 2016.
Mindy Sterling
Mindy Sterling is probably best known for her role as Frau Farbissina in the Austin Powers movies. She's also appeared on several TV shows and has provided voices on cartoons like Scooby Doo. She was a Stealth Con guest in 2017.
