Additional Information
The Bothwell Foundation’s Community Relations committee will host its third “What Your Mama Never Told You” event just for women at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at The Venue in Sedalia.
The free evening is another opportunity for women to hear information and ask questions about health topics important to them. Past events have been held in Sedalia and in Cole Camp.
Panelists include Dr. Julie Cahill, family medicine physician at Bothwell Family Medicine Associates, Nurse Practitioner Dee Dee Gilmore at Bothwell’s Susan O’Brien Fischer Cancer Center, Certified Nurse Midwife Brittany Freeman and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Megan Ray at Bothwell OB/GYN Associates, and Physical Therapist Jen Dickinson with Mid-Missouri Pelvic Health. The women will offer professional insights and take questions about women’s health issues throughout every stage of life.
Diana Nichols, chair of the Community Relations committee, said the group is looking forward to hosting the event a second time in Sedalia.
“The positive feedback from the Sedalia community at our last event in November encouraged the committee to host another event with additional women’s health experts,,” she said. “As women, we often put the needs of others before our own, even when it comes to health care. We hope this event provides a space for women to gather together, enjoy a girls night out and ask health questions in a comfortable and relaxing environment."
Seating is limited, and women interested in attending should register by Oct. 10 at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WYMNTY2024. The survey link includes an option to submit questions or topics in confidence so the presenters can prepare.
