Elton John to Appear on ‘Nashville’
Nashville fans will see a very famous face in an upcoming episode: Elton John has booked a guest appearance on the ABC TV drama.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, John will play himself in the show's May 18 episode. The legendary pop-rock pianist will perform alongside Sam Palladio's Gunnar Scott during the series' second-to-last Season 4 episode.
With songs such as "Tiny Dancer," "Crocodile Rock," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and many more, John is well-known and -revered as one of the hitmakers of the 1970s. He has released more than 30 studio albums, including the recent Wonderful Crazy Night, released in early February. The project was produced by T Bone Burnett, Nashville's former executive music producer, who is also married to Nashville showrunner Callie Khouri. John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame; a native of Middlesex, England, the artist was appointed as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1995 and knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1998.
John isn't the only guest star still set to appear during Nashville's fourth season. Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett, as well as Kesha, will all make appearances as themselves during future episodes of the ABC drama. Each of the three stars will make one-episode cameos, but not during the same episodes.
Nashville airs on Wednesday nights at 10PM ET.
