About 50 people gathered at the edge of a field owned by SFCC, to see an ag drone fly Thursday evening during the latest installment of “Ag Forward.”

The event was the first seminar in the second year of Ag Forward, a joint production of State Fair Community College and Central Bank of Sedalia.

Ag Forward is presented three time in the fall and three times in the spring, and always has an agricultural theme, according to spokesman Tim Noland of Central Bank. Noland is a commercial and ag loan officer at the bank, which paid for the meal cooked by the Pettis County Cattlemen on Thursday.

The drone show was a result of a survey in which respondents were asked what they would like to see at a future Ag Forward program.

A drone demonstration came in first place.

Guest speakers included the owners of the Ag Drone business, as well as Tim Noland and Adrienn Dieckmann, Central Bank Commercial Banking and Marketing Assistant; Macy Reed, VP of the SFCC Ag Club, and Brad Driskill, SFCC Ag Dept. Director.
