Dierks Bentley is giving the spotlight to two motivational women in the new music video for his latest single, "Woman, Amen." Readers can press play above to watch the clip and meet the mother-daughter duo of Jennifer and Sydnee Floyd.
The Floyds are working to help those in need in the Nashville community. Interspersed with scenes of Bentley and his band performing "Woman, Amen" amid the mountains, the country star shows viewers a bit of what the Floyds have achieved: volunteering to hand out clothing and toiletries to those that do not have access to them and collecting donations, for example. The touching video ends with daughter Sydnee receiving an award in recognition of her service to the community.
"Jennifer and Sydnee make everyone around them want to do more, to be better … it was an incredible honor for me to honor them. I hope that by shining a light on the completely selfless volunteer work they do, it will maybe inspire other folks to do what they can in their own communities," says Bentley in a statement. "I was really drawn to their real-life experience, and I wanted to do a video based on real people with real struggles and real triumphs. These are the people I get to meet every day, and they are really the ones who have inspired this music."
"Woman, Amen" was directed by Wes Edwards. Before releasing the video, Bentley shared a behind-the-scenes teaser, in which he explains Jennifer and Sydnee's impact, and introduces fans to the pair. Readers can press play below to watch.
Bentley isn't done spotlighting the Floyds just yet, either: Later in April, he will bring the pair to WE Day, which is all about youth empowerment. At WE Day, Bentley will perform "Woman, Amen;" his performance will be aired on ABC on Aug. 17.
Bentley has plenty going on in 2018: In addition to putting the finishing touches on a new studio album, The Mountain, and hitting the road for his Mountain High Tour, Bentley has announced plans to curate his own music festival in Colorado. More information about the singer can be found on his official website.
