Criminals Loot State Fair Grandstand $5,000 Reward Offered
Criminals looted and vandalized the Missouri State Fair Grandstand concession area over the weekend and GUESA USA is offering a $5,000 reward to the person who will turn in the person or people responsible for the looting. This is according to a post on the GUESA USA Facebook page.
The GUESA USA post asks anyone who knows about this crime in the concessions area of the State Fair Grandstand to please contact the Sedalia Police Department at 660-826-8100 or GUESA USA at 660-851-2184.
Additionally, anyone who was involved in the criminal activity that turns themselves in will not have charges pressed against them, they will just be asked to help GUESA USA clean up the mess left behind in the concession area.
The post goes on to call the looting and vandalism:
A slap in the face to our City, our Fairgrounds and our staff! We have worked so hard to make this stands the best we can, to have it be torn in just one day!
I think that's what bothers me the most about this too. It seems personal. Maybe it's because we spend two weeks right outside the grandstand. Maybe it's because my co-workers and I feel invested in the fair just as much as GUESA USA and all the fair employees do. Maybe it's because I exchange smiles and pleasantries with many of the folks who work in the stands there over the summer. Or simply because I think we're better than this.
Do us all a favor, if you know anything about this, call the police and help them solve this crime.
