If anyone watching Colt Ford didn't get a photo or an autograph during the singer's 75-minute set at WE Fest 2015 on Saturday afternoon, it's because they weren't trying. Ford kept the energy up on stage and off during a four-song autograph signing session in Detroit Lakes, Minn.

The performance was all about making statements. Early on Ford showcased his band and raised a hand in the air for the Second Amendment ("Answer to No One"). Then he proved that big men can dance, too. Ford scooted around the stage like a redneck Michael Jackson during "Crank It Up" and had enough breath left for "Back," "Crickets" and "Country Thang."

During "Driving Around Song" he hopped down to a more fan-accessible lower platform and remained there for four songs, effortlessly singing and telling stories behind the songs as he posed for selfies and signed hats and tickets. The camera crew kept him in focus for those further back in the general admission audience. Finally, Ford returned to introduce "Workin' On," a song he dedicates to the military, specifically Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell.

"This is my favorite song that I've written to a girl," Ford announced before singing "Chicken and Biscuits." He also sang "She's Like," a song originally recorded with Keith Urban. The set was full of name-checking. Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert and Chase Rice are just a few friends he's recorded with.

With energy to spare, a slimmed-down Ford wrapped with a cover of Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and his own "Dirt Road Anthem," a song he wrote with Gilbert that Aldean cut and released in 2010. Throughout his set he showed gratitude for his fans old and young, never forgetting who has put him in position to live his dream.
