Chris Young Goes on ‘Holiday’ in Laid Back New Song [Listen]
Chris Young is offering fans another taste of his upcoming album, Losing Sleep, with the release of his new song, "Holiday."
Young takes it slow with the smooth jam, telling his girl that she makes everyday feel like a holiday. His voice is as dreamy as always, taking the listener to a place of romance and paradise, singing about how his dream girl takes him on vacation just by being her exceptional self. "You make me wanna make a margarita / You make me wanna put on my shades / You take me on a trip around the world / Don't need to hop a plane / When I'm with you girl / It's like I'm on vacay," he croons in the chorus. It's quite possible the carefree ballad will get stuck in your head with its laid back beat and sing-along lyrics.
"Holiday" is just one of the tracks off Losing Sleep, co-written by Young, Cary Barlowe, Johnny Bulford and Corey Crowder. The steamy title track serves as the album's lead single and currently sits in the Top 20 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Young co-wrote all 10 tracks that appear on the album.
“Every album you make as an artist, you want to continue to grow. And you also want people to be in love with it. That’s such a difficult thing to balance, but I think there’s a little bit of something for everybody on this record," he says in a press release.
Losing Sleep is set to hit shelves on Oct. 10. Young will be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on Oct. 17.
