Chris Stapleton Performs ‘Second One to Know’ at 2017 ACM Awards
Chris Stapleton debuted his new song "Second One to Know" live at the ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 2).
Bringing some good old fashioned rock 'n' roll to the ACM Awards, Stapleton brought the house down with his new tune, all about love on the back burner and being the last to know when a relationship is over. Of course, his wife Morgane was there too, busting out some powerful backing vocals and acting as the perfect complement for the bluesy rocker.
Stapleton had previously teased his performance of "Second One to Know," saying, “Well, we got a request … for some[thing] uptempo, so we handed in the most uptempo thing that we have.”
Stapleton is up for three awards tonight: He's nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year and Song of the Year.
"Second One to Know" is from Stapleton's upcoming sophomore album, which he announced in February. His All-American Road Show tour will keep Stapleton out on the road until late in the year; he'll be joined at different times on the road by the Brothers Osborne, Lucie Silvas, Brent Cobb, Anderson East and Margo Price.
