Fairgoers can come to the Missouri State Fair on Friday, Aug. 12, for Missouri Department of Conservation Day.

Fairgoers will enjoy visiting the Conservation Building from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for live animal exhibits and demonstrations.

There are lots of other great activities planned for Aug. 12 including:

Travis Marvin will be performing at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Members Only will perform at 9 p.m. on the Budweiser Stage.

Homegrown Singer Contest Preliminary Round, sponsored by Bimbo Bakeries USA, at 4 p.m. on the Budweiser Stage.

The Fair is full of free entertainment like Rock-It the Robot, Professor Farquar and Polecat Annie strolling the grounds. Don’t miss the BMX Pros Trick Team, sponsored by AOK RV's, or the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show! Be sure to catch The Groovy Guy Show, Women of Rock, or the Animal Calling Contest on the Touchstone Energy Stage.

Livestock shows include the market barrow show, poultry, beef cattle, lamb and draft mule shows and 4-H/FFA swine judging.

Competitive events include daylily, lily, African violet and fairy garden shows, dairy products contest, barbecue contest, and home economics foods contests.

Military Flag Retreat Ceremony, sponsored by Capital Materials, Starline Brass and Retrieving Freedom, at 5:30 p.m. in front of the Historic Administration Building.

The World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales will be on display and parade the grounds at 5:30 p.m.

Cowboy Mounted Shooting, sponsored by Starline Brass, qualifying rounds continuing from Aug. 11 start at 2 p.m. and the final round begins at 5 p.m. in the Mathewson Exhibition Center.

MRCA Show-Me State Rodeo at 7 p.m. in the State Fair Arena; tickets available for purchase online or at the State Fair Box Office.

Tesla with Fuel at 7:30 p.m. in the State Fair Grandstand, presented by CFM Insurance; tickets available online or at the State Fair Box Office.
