A six-year-old boy was killed in a boating accident that occurred Friday morning on Table Rock Lake.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. A six-year-old male was riding a kneeboard being pulled by a 1999 Maxum open motorboat, operated by 31-year-old Bethany L. Roy of Carthage, around 11 a.m., on Table Rock Lake, in Clevenger Cove, south of Hollister.

The boy fell off the kneeboard, and as Roy attempted to return to pick up the boy, the boy swam towards the rear of the vessel and was caught by the propeller, while the vessel was in reverse.

The boy was pronounced deceased at 11:09 a.m., by Taney County Deputy Coroner Elijah Goodwin. The body was taken to Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson.
