When Reese Witherspoon transformed into June Carter Cash in the Johnny Cash biopic ‘Walk the Line,’ she turned quite a few heads for her spot-on renditions of ‘It Ain’t Me Babe’ and ‘Jackson.’ By now, we all know that Witherspoon has what it takes to play the part of a major country star — and Carrie Underwood knows it, too. In a recent interview with KO Video, Underwood said that if she could choose one actress to play her role in a biopic, it would be Witherspoon.

“If I died tomorrow and they wanted to do a movie about me, I’ve always loved Reese Witherspoon and I feel like we have the same stature,” Underwood said. “We’re about the same height and she can sing.”

Of course singing June Carter Cash tunes is quite a bit different than putting on renditions of ‘Good Girl’ or ‘Before He Cheats,’ but Witherspoon has proven that she has a set of pipes to match her acting skills. Plus, she and Underwood look so similar that they could be sisters — she wouldn’t even have to dye her hair to star in ‘The Carrie Underwood Story’ or ‘Before He Cheats: Behind the Music.’

At 29 years old, Underwood will most likely be with us for quite a while. But in her short career, she’s already managed to rack up plenty of accolades, including Grammys, CMA trophies, Billboard Music awards and more. Plus, all four of her albums have reached No. 1 on the country charts, and she’s released 11 No. 1 singles — all before her 30th birthday.

It takes some stars an entire career to earn that many top-selling songs and albums, but the ‘Jesus Take the Wheel’ hitmaker has managed to earn her success in the matter of about five years. It’s too soon to plan her biopic, but one thing is for sure: the ‘American Idol’ star-turned-country-music-phenomenon already has an incredible story to tell.
