Carrie Underwood Reveals Baby No. 2’s Sex at 2018 CMA Awards
Carrie Underwood's having a BOY! The country superstar used the 2018 CMA Awards as a giant gender reveal party of sorts, sharing the baby's sex during the annual awards ceremony.
Despite telling Good Morning America hosts Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts before Country Music's Biggest Night that she wasn't going to reveal if she'd be having a boy or a girl, Paisley persuaded her into sharing the big news. "Garth or Trisha?" Paisley asked, along with a litany of other famous country couples, before posing the questions "Willie or Waylon?"
Underwood, of course, noted that that particular pairing didn't make sense, before giving in: "It's a Willie!" To really drive the point home, the color blue was a common theme in Underwood's outfit choices for the rest of the night.
Back in 2014, when Underwood was pregnant with her first child, Isaiah, Paisley revealed that the baby would be a boy during their CMA Awards opening monologue. Paisley later shared that, of course, his slip of the tongue had been carefully planned out -- but that he did not know the baby's sex until the very last minute.
Underwood first revealed that she and husband Fisher would be expanding their family in early August. In mid-September, the country superstar shared that she suffered three miscarriages prior to this pregnancy.
