Capkovic Named Interim Pettis County Clerk

On Friday, Jan. 24 at 9 a.m., the Pettis County Commission announced the appointment of Jessica Renee Capkovic as the interim Pettis County Clerk/Election Authority, effective immediately, until a permanent replacement is appointed by Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe.

Jessica Capkovic brings years of experience and currently works in the Pettis County Clerk’s Office, and the Pettis County Commission expresses its confidence in her ability to lead effectively and ensure the continued smooth operation of the office.

Capkovic’s appointment follows a vacancy created by former County Clerk Nick La Strada’s recent appointment as Director of Election Integrity by Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins.

A farewell reception was held for La Strada Jan. 10.
