California Residents Arrested for Meth in Moniteau County
Two residents of California, Missouri were arrested April 4 for possession of methamphetamine.
According to the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office, deputies went to a residence on Higgins Rd. outside of Latham looking for a wanted fugitive. Two people with outstanding warrants from multiple jurisdictions were taken into custody. Deputies were then given consent to search a vehicle on the property and reportedly located methamphetamine. 22-year-old Joshua J. Kirchner was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Moniteau County Jail.
A 54-year-old California woman was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on the same day. Deputies stopped a vehicle in California for having no license plate. After a search of the vehicle, deputies reported discovering methamphetamine. A search of the suspect's residence led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia. 54-year-old Dorothy J. Sanders was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
