Brad Paisley Proves to Carrie Underwood That, Actually, He Can ‘Cry Pretty’
According to Carrie Underwood's hit single, you just can't cry pretty. That is, of course, unless you utilize her brand-new Snapchat filter, introduced on Monday (Sept. 17), which allows users to add glittery tears to their faces.
Underwood's buddy and longtime CMA Awards co-host, Brad Paisley, did just that—and was thoroughly convinced that he cries very prettily, indeed. He shared a video on Instagram of his filter fun, stating, "Can't cry pretty? We'll just see about that. I beg to differ," and adding an exaggerated pout at the end.
We're not exactly sure Paisley's results were pretty, but they certainly were amusing. Underwood replied to him by re-gramming his post, and noting "You make glitter tears look goooooood!"
If you'd like to try the Cry Pretty filter out for yourself (#CryPrettyChallenge is already a briskly performing hashtag on social media), you can scan the Snapcode on your phone here (just swipe right).
Paisley and Underwood will be marking their 11th year as co-hosts of the CMA Awards when they take the stage together Nov. 14 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Underwood just released her latest album, also called Cry Pretty, last week. She is set to embark on her Cry Pretty Tour 360 in May of 2019. She's currently pregnant with her second child, and the tour will start mere months after delivering her baby.
